MAPLE MOUNT – Sister Joseph Mark Hayden, 94, an Ursuline Sister of Mount Saint Jospeh, died Frieday, July 25, 2003, at Mount Saint Joseph in her 77th year of religious life. She was a native of Fancy Farm. An educator for 46 years, she taught at St. William, Knottsville (1929-34), St. Alphonsus, St. Joseph (1935-36, 1946-47), St. Joseph, Owensboro (1937-38), St. Lawrence, Daviess County (1941-43), St. Peter of Alcantara, Stanley (1944-46, 1948-49) and Trinity High School, Whitesville (1967-70). She taught in many other schools in the Diocese of Owensboro and the Archdiocese of Louisville and in New Mexico. She retired to the Motherhouse in 1986.

Survivors include a brother, William Albert Hayden of Mayfield; nieces and nephews; and the members of her religious community.

The funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Mount Saint Joseph, where visitation will begin Sunday at 4 p.m., with a wake service following at 6:30 p.m. Glenn Funeral Home in Owensboro is in charge of arrangements.
