Quilt Bingo 2026 was a joyous time for the players and Sisters

The sixth Quilt Bingo at Mount Saint Joseph brought a full house and over 40 lucky bingo winners, plus four extremely lucky raffle winners, on Sept. 13, 2026. Judging by comments and yells of delight when someone got a bingo on their card, everyone had a good time. The group played 35 games, with eight of those having two different winners and one game with four winners! Those who didn’t win had the opportunity to purchase quilts after the games were finished.

With 240 players, Maple Hall was at capacity for the event. About 50 volunteers helped run the event, including 31 Ursuline Sisters, 11 Ursuline Associates and a few Mount employees. The raffle drawing for cash prizes and an embroidered quilt was held at the close of the event. Here are a list of those winners.

This year’s bingo was dedicated to the memory of Sister Amelia Stenger, who came up with the idea of Quilt Bingo and helped organize it. She went to heaven on March 28, 2026. It was fate when Sister Amelia’s niece, Ann Jacobs, who made some of the quilts and helped hang them in the venue, was a two-time bingo winner that afternoon.

Here are photos from the day, including most of the quilt winners.
