Kindness Campaign

Our need for human connections, kindness and love is as essential as food and water for our survival. In our world where we see examples of unkind acts toward others every day, we need to spread a little kindness and joy to make our world a better place.

From left, Ursuline Sisters Maureen O’Neill, Elaine Burke, George Mary Hagan, Marie Joseph Coomes, Susan Mary Mudd and Rose Jean Powers work on a blanket together. In the background is Ursuline Associate Carol Hill.

The Ursuline Sisters of Mount Saint Joseph, following the teachings of Saint Angela Merici, have responded to the needs of the world for 150 years – spreading kindness. We invite you to join us in following their example.

On March 11-12, 2024, Ursuline Sisters at the Motherhouse and some Ursuline Associates gathered to make blankets to donate to My Sister’s Keeper, an emergency shelter for women in Owensboro, Ky. (See picture at right) The women often leave the shelter with no possessions, but thanks to the kindness of the Sisters, these women have something to keep them warm that also lets them know they are loved and remembered.

You may know a person who is homebound or struggling with an illness or just needs some words of encouragement to know someone cares about them and that they matter. We invite you to be part of this unique Kindness Campaign on behalf of the Ursuline Sisters of Mount Joseph.

For a contribution of $50, we will send one custom card a month for the next year to the person of your choice with words of inspiration and encouragement. If you want to send a card to law enforcement, teachers, your U.S. Representative, etc., to let them know you appreciate what they do, that is also an option. All you need to do is complete the information below and we will take care of the rest. If you prefer to pay by check, please include the information below and make your check payable to the Ursuline Sisters of Mount Saint Joseph. You can mail to:
