Kindness Campaign

“We grow in Kindness when our Kindness is tested.”- Bishop Desmond Tutu

The Ursuline Sisters of Mount Saint Joseph are discerning “What the world is asking us to be?” Our Sisters are challenged to “Answer the darkness by being light, and to give witness that is public.” The Sisters’ goal is to move forward by creating space for hospitality, healing, and growth.

In these unprecedented times, we are called to show kindness to all of God’s children. The Bible emphasizes hospitality as a virtue encouraging people to welcome strangers and show kindness.

As part of this effort, we are reimagining the Kindness Campaign that we began six years ago. Each month, as part of our electronic newsletter The Pilgrimage, we will recognize stories of those who shared an act of kindness with you or someone you know. We hope you will be inspired to show kindness to someone else. We believe that love and kindness prevail, and it begins with us. No matter how small an act of kindness may be, it can make a big difference in someone’s life, so never underestimate the difference you can make.

We invite you to share your stories to recognize people who have shown kindness.
