To help us experience Advent more deeply this year, we asked the Ursuline Sisters what words or phrases made them think of the Advent/Christmas season? They could choose scriptures, poems, quotes, lyrics, or any sayings that have special meaning to them. We will be sharing their responses throughout Advent until Christmas day. This feature is called “What Advent is All About.”
Our first response is from Sister Mary Celine Weidenbenner.
“I love ‘waiting in hope!’ Special merit is ‘waiting in silence!’ This time of year is so hectic and so rushed. I love putting my crocheted crib figures in and around the huge Advent wreath at school! Students do love to see what comes out next.
“I pray that as I do these simple things, at least I enjoy the slow pace inside my heart. Happy waiting in Hope and Silent Advent!”
