For the first time, the staff at Saint Joseph Villa got into a competitive spirit for Christmas and had a hall decorating contest on Friday, Dec. 12, 2014. They asked Ursuline Sisters, staff and visitors to tour the three halls and to vote on their favorite one. The Villa staff also served treats such as cookies and apple cider, sang Christmas carols and even invited Jolly Old Saint Nick to visit from the North Pole. The festive event put everyone into the Christmas spirit.
About 100 people voted in the contest, with the 300 hall and its “Bethlehem” theme coming out on top. Amber Jones, director of nursing in the Villa, said that the consensus was that “all halls were equally as great, and all will win!”
