Sister Ruth Gehres Returns to Casa Ursulina March 2016

Ursuline Sister Ruth Gehres is spending March 2016 in Chillan, Chile, where she ministered from 2007-2013 with Ursuline Sister Mimi Ballard at Casa Ursulina. The Ursuline ministry offers classes on spinning and craft making that helps build community and a deeper spirituality with women from low-income households in Chillan.

It is late summer in Chillan, and the week of March 7-11 was busy with registration for the upcoming year of classes. By March 8, more than 100 women had registered, Sister Ruth said. Prior to classes starting on March 14, Sister Ruth and Sister Mimi planned a weekend trip to the country to visit friends who live on a sheep farm about an hour south of Chillan.
