Our next Sister celebrating a major jubilee this year is Sister Margaret Marie Greenwell. She is a native of New Haven, Ky., and is celebrating 70 years. Congratulations Sister Margaret Marie!

She is an educator who eventually turned her attention to serving the needs of the poor, always with a welcoming smile. She earned a bachelor’s degree in education from Brescia College in 1969 and a master’s degree in education from Western Kentucky University in 1973. She was a teacher for 35 years in Kentucky. She taught at St. Brigid School, Vine Grove (1957-59) and in Louisville at St. Columba (1959-61) and St. Denis (1961-67). She was principal (1986-87) and taught religion (1987-93) at St. Ann School, Morganfield, and was parish minister at St. Ann Church (1985-86). She taught at St. Thomas More School, Paducah (1967-85) while serving as its principal from 1983-85.
