Sister Emma Anne Munsterman completes our dozen Ursuline Sisters who are celebrating jubilees of religious profession in 2025. Sister Emma Anne is a native of Mount Vernon, Ind., who is celebrating 60 years. Blessed with great insight into people, she uses her gifts to help others heal, both physically and spiritually. Congratulations Sister Emma Anne!
She earned a bachelor’s degree in education from Brescia College in 1971, and a master’s degree in education from Western Kentucky University in 1977. She was a teacher in Louisville at St. Bernard School (1968-70), St. Margaret Mary School (1970-77) and St. James School (1981-84); and a teacher at Christ the King School, Madisonville, Ky. (1977-81), St. Paul School, Leitchfield, Ky. (1984-85), Precious Blood School, Owensboro, Ky. (1985-89) and at the Cincinnati (Ohio) Reflexology Center (1996-98).
She was assistant local superior and director of transportation at the Ursuline Motherhouse (1989-92) and secretary to the leadership Council (1992-96). From 1998-2016, she served in Louisville as a licensed massage therapist and certified natural health practitioner of several holistic modalities including reflexology, craniosacral, Tibetan acupressure, and other energy-related therapies. From 2012-16, she also served the Sisters of Charity at Nazareth, Ky. Since 2018, she has offered holistic health to the Sisters at the Motherhouse.
