An Open House for a new Heritage Room at Mount Saint Joseph was held from 8 a.m.-noon on May 8, 2025. Several Sisters and a few staff stopped by to view the two rooms, which are located at the north entrance (facing the highway) of the Lourdes building. The rooms contain many items that were previously located in the Museum in the Mount Saint Joseph Conference and Retreat Center before that building had to be taken down. Set up in the former location of the Angela Oratory, the Heritage Room still contains some of the books and items that were featured in the Oratory. Sister Amelia Stenger has worked for weeks to plan the displays and write the tags for each item. She had some help moving items from Edward Wilson, the archivist for the Ursuline Sisters.
The Heritage Room will be open for visitors on occasions such as Associates and Sisters Day and Alumnae Weekend. It can also be toured upon request by any
guests who visit the campus. There is a guest book for visitors to sign.
