Sister Emma Cecilia Busam had lunch in the park at Maple Mount with some of her former students from Blessed Mother School, Owensboro, on June 26, 2013. The group sat at a picnic table on the same grounds where the annual Mount Saint Joseph Barbecue Picnic takes place. They normally get together once a month for lunch at a local restaurant. This time, Sister Emma Cecilia invited the group of 15 (not everyone could attend) to enjoy lunch outdoors at Mount Saint Joseph. The rain held off all afternoon to allow them to enjoy a take-out lunch of fried chicken with vegetables and biscuits.

Had a wonderful afternoon with my former teacher, Sr. Emma Cecilia at the Mount! We love getting together with her at our monthly “meetings” of the former students of the class of ’61 from Blessed Mother School! It usually is comprised of all girls but this month we let a few of the guys from our class join us as well under the great spread of the lovely Maples.
