Celebrating Three Sisters March 31, 2016

The Ursuline Sisters of Mount Saint Joseph honored three of their own at a special supper on March 31, 2016. The three sisters are leaving their current ministries at the Motherhouse to take on new roles for their community.

Sister Ann McGrew has been the director of the Mount Saint Joseph Conference and Retreat Center since 2010. She will be leaving to become the new director of novices.

Sister Amelia Stenger has ministered as the director of development for the Ursuline Sisters since 2010. She was elected the new congregational leader and will begin her new position in July.

Sister Mary Matthias Ward has been serving as the director of local community life since returning to the Motherhouse in 2009. In May, she will become the new director of the Retreat Center, a position she also held when the Center  first opened, from 1983-88.

Here are photos from the celebration.

Sister Mary Matthias was my teacher many years ago at Saint Romuald in Hardinsburg, KY. She insisted I learn what she was teaching. Now, years later, I finally get to say, thank you.
