Brescia University staff visits the Mount

The staff of Brescia University made their annual visit to Mount Saint Joseph on Aug. 17, 2011 to kick off the 2011-2012 school year in a spiritual way. A prayer service took place in the Ursuline Sisters of Mount Joseph Motherhouse Chapel that featured prayers and readings led by Sister Sharon Sullivan, Sister Rose Marita O’Bryan, and Sister Rebecca White. Attendees read the Brescia University mission statement aloud and prayed for all of the students. Candles, incense, and a jar containing the names of everyone involved in working at Brescia were carried to the altar. The service was followed by a meal of fried chicken, vegetables, and dessert in the community dining room. The Ursuline Sisters of Mount Saint Joseph founded Brescia College in 1950 and have continuously served as staff and administrators throughout the years.
