The First 12 Keys Class at St. Stephen

After two months of cancellations or postponements due to the coronavirus, the Mount Saint Joseph Conference and Retreat Center was able to start a new program on June 3, 2020. “12 Keys to Spiritual Vitality: Powerful Lessons to Living Agelessly” is being presented by Center Director Maryann Joyce. The program consists of six morning sessions plus an Educational Faith Assessment profile.

These classes are being held at St. Stephen Parish in Owensboro, Ky., in their community room basement. This is the first program in a new “Mount on the Road” initiative to help provide spiritual education at parishes. Joyce coordinated the program with Rick Rhodes, director of adult ministries at St. Stephen. Due to the coronavirus, class size was limited to 10 people.

The 12 Keys to aging and spirituality is based on the findings of Dr. Richard Johnson, founder of Senior Adult Ministry. The weekly class will continue through July 8. A major portion of the cost was covered by a grant from the Owensboro Diocese Disciples Response Fund.
