Ursuline Sisters in Saint Joseph Villa enjoyed lemonade with (imaginary) tiny umbrellas, listened to the waves off the Pacific Ocean crash onto shore, and heard the sounds of ukulele music on Aug. 19, 2016 — all without leaving Maple Mount.
A luau in the Rainbow Room brought the beach to the sisters, who for the first time in weeks actually enjoyed a day without rain at Maple Mount. It was a chance for the sisters to enjoy some time together and learn about Hawaii, which became the 50th state on Aug. 21, 1959. Here are a few pictures of the sisters enjoying their time together.
