An educator for over 61 years, she was professor of English at Brescia College (now University) for 39 years (1958-97). “Sister DC” was known for inspiring her students with her love of books, music, and learning, and she began many programs at the college, including the Grants Office, Office of Student Support Services, and Weekend College. She also taught at St. Elizabeth School, Curdsville (1948-50), in Louisville, Holy Cross, New Haven, and St. Francis, all in Kentucky, and in Affton (St. Louis), Mo.
