A native of Morganfield, she was an educator for over 40 years. She taught at Mount Saint Joseph Academy, and for 23 years was a member of the chemistry faculty at Brescia College, where she also served on the Alumni Office staff. She was a medical technologist at Owensboro-Daviess County Hospital and served in ministry to the sick of St. Stephen Cathedral Parish. She retired in 1990.
Survivors include a nephew, Bennett Stroud Ligon, Jr., of Morganfield, a great-niece and two great-great nieces, and her Ursuline sisters.
