Sister Margaret Ann Aull celebrates 70 years as a Sister

Today we honor Sister Margaret Ann Aull, a native of St. Lawrence, Ky., who is among five Ursuline Sisters celebrating 70 years of religious life in 2023.

Sister Margaret Ann radiates warmth to all those she meets, providing a listening ear and an encouraging word to those in need. She earned a bachelor’s degree in history from Brescia College in 1968, and a master’s degree in education from Western Kentucky University in 1974.

All of her ministry has been in Kentucky. She was a teacher at St. Bartholomew School, Buechel (1955-59), St. Joseph School, Mayfield (1959-65), Immaculate School, Owensboro (1968-71) and religion teacher at Owensboro Catholic High School (1978-81, 1982-86). She was principal at St. Paul School, Princeton (1965-68), St. Pius Tenth School, Owensboro (1971-74), St. Peter of Alcantara School, Stanley (1976-78) and Precious Blood School, Owensboro (1981-82).

She was parish minister at St. Anthony Parish, Peonia (1974-76) and pastoral associate at St. Stephen Cathedral, Owensboro (1986-96) and Holy Name of Jesus Parish, Henderson (2000-2010). She was assistant superior of the Ursuline Sisters from 1996-2000. From 2010-22, she served as coordinator of pastoral care at Immaculate Parish, Owensboro. She retired in 2022, but continues to volunteer in pastoral care at Immaculate.
