Sister Lynn Jarrell Speaks on “Common Life”

On Friday, May 8, Sister Lynn Jarrell, an Ursuline Sister of Louisville, spoke at Mount Saint Joseph on the topic “Common Life: Sustaining the Relationship of Membership” as part of a series of talks on the Year of Consecrated Life.

Sister Lynn Jarrell, OSU, talks to the Ursuline Sisters of Mount Saint Joseph about the realities and the blessings of community life.

She discussed the tremendous significance of living an ordinary life and how profoundly we may follow Christ through simple, ordinary actions no matter what our career or our health and abilities are. With the wisdom of decades in the religious life, Sister Lynn shares personal experiences and other examples of how we may life profoundly Christ-like through an ordinary life.

Sister Lynn has a doctorate in canon law from The Catholic University of America and a master’s degree in communications. She previously served as the leader of the Ursuline Sisters of Louisville. She has been a canonical consultant who has worked with religious communities both in the United States and elsewhere. You can watch her entire talk below.
