“Advent is a time of waiting and anticipation. These phrases lend themselves to meditation during Advent:

“The Lord is my Light, and my Salvation.”
“The Lord will come to save the nations.”
“The Lord will make the glory of his voice heard in the joy of your heart.”
“Rejoice in the Lord always, again I say rejoice.”
“Let the Earth be opened and bring forth the Savior.”
“Come oh Come, Emmanuel.”
“Rejoice, rejoice, Emmanuel.”
