Sister Barbara Lynn Schmitz Speaks on “For the Love of God”

Sister Barbara Lynn Schmitz, OSB, spoke to the Ursuline Sisters at the Motherhouse on May 1, 2015, as part of a series of talks on the Year of Consecrated Life. Her talk was titled, “For the Love of God: Transition to Transformation.”

Sister Barbara Lynn is prioress of the Sisters of Saint Benedict in Ferdinand, Ind. She served as director of mission advancement at the monastery prior to this position. She has a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Notre Dame and a certification in pastoral ministry.

During her talk she asked sisters to share with each other times they broke through the hard shell of indifference or to talk about what held them back. She also asked them to share times when they knew they made it through only by the grace of God. Here are some photos from the day.
