As we approach January 27, the feast of Saint Angela Merici, the founder of the Company of Saint Ursula, later called the Ursuline Sisters, I invite you to join us in this novena reflecting on her words and life example. May you draw closer to God who calls us to be his hands, feets, voice and presence in our world.
Beginning of Novena in preparation for the feast of Saint Angela Merici:
Angela’s prayer, her union with her God, is reflected in the intimacy with which she shares with us, her beloved daughers, her love of Jesus.
“I am constantly among you with my Lover, or rather the Lover of each of us.” 5th Counsel
“… our gentle, loving Spouse, Jesus Christ.” Rule 12
“Lord, I beg you for tis by your most Sacred Passion, by your Precious Blood shed for love of us, by your holy name, Jesus. Rule 6
“…you will find no other recourse than shelter at the feet of Jesus Christ.” 7th Counsel
Reflection and Questions to pray with: As Angela’s words speak to your heart, experience the tenderness and the reverence which reflects her union with Jesus. Her prayer was a loving communion with Jesus whom she loved.

–As her daughter/follower, share with Angela your experience, your relationship with the Trinity.
–Join Angela “at the feet of Jesus Christ, and savor the sacred time and space with Jesus, the Lover of each of us. Unburden your heart and bring to Jesus those who you carry in your heart and prayer.
