The MSJ Quilting Friends were as busy as bees at the Mount Saint Joseph Conference and Retreat Center during their 2019 retreat week. Some arrived on Saturday, March 2, and others on Sunday, and most planned to stay until the afternoon of Wednesday, March 6. They were making quilts and other items such as plastic bag holders and hats to donate to the Ursuline Sisters of Mount Saint Joseph. The quilted items are usually sold, with the proceeds benefiting the Ursuline Sisters. Congregational Leader Sister Amelia Stenger joined the group to quilt, along with her sister, Ursuline Associate Mary Teder of Farmington, Mo.
