Young girls from Girls Incorporated in Owensboro, Ky., spent June 11-14 at Maple Mount as part of the annual Music and Nature Camp.
The girls learned to identify plants and survival techniques from John Rose, an experienced wilderness tracker and musician, wrote, sang and recorded songs with musician Randy Lanham, visited the Maple Mount farm with Sister Amelia Stenger to pick broccoli and blackberries and see the animals, learned some new dances and finished the camp singing their songs for the Ursuline Sisters gathered in Saint Joseph Villa.
