A Daviess County, Ky., Fiscal Court meeting took place at Mount Saint Joseph Conference and Retreat Center on Sept. 6, 2012. On the agenda was a proclamation to honor the Ursuline Sisters for their Centennial by proclaiming Oct. 12 – the day of their founding as an autonomous community 100 years ago – as “Ursuline Sisters of Mount Saint Joseph Day.”
Elected representatives on the Fiscal Court are Daviess County Judge Executive Al Mattingly, and County Commissioners George Wathen (west), Charlie Castlen (central), and Jim Lambert (east).
Also on the agenda was proclaiming September to be National Recovery Month; presentations on the county’s Storm Water Master Plan and Public Health tax rate, and approving several agreements, resolutions, bids, and employee hiring and appointments.
Fiscal Court meets the first and third Thursday of each month, usually in the Daviess County Courthouse, but sometimes they meet in on-the-road locations.
