Father Joe Merkt, a priest from the Archdiocese of Louisville who previously taught at Brescia University in Owensboro, discussed the Second Vatican Council with a roomful of sisters on Oct. 4 in the St. Ursula meeting room.
Merkt was a seminary student in Rome during the Council, and volunteered to sort, staple and distribute the daily summaries for each of the bishops in attendance. Here are some pictures from his talk.
