Chix with Stix return to the Mount

Becky Ebelhar began knitting as a child, but put it on hold when she was raising her five children. Now that she has grandchildren, the knitting bug has returned.

Her love for knitting brought her to the Mount Saint Joseph Conference and Retreat Center on April 18-20, 2017, with her group of artisans known as the “Chix with Stix.” It’s the fourth visit to the Mount for the group of knitting enthusiasts who began in Owensboro eight years ago.

“Everybody helps everybody,” Ebelhar said. “Everyone inspires everybody.”

She was making stick horses for her grandchildren, the youngest of whom is 6 months old. “I love being here to hear the crazy stories,” she said with a smile.

Here are a few pictures from April 19.
