Bishop Charles Thompson Speaks at Mount About Mercy April 19, 2016

The Most Rev. Charles Thompson, bishop of the Diocese of Evansville, Ind., was the third speaker in an April series on the Year of Mercy, discussing how Pope Francis addresses mercy in his recent Apostolic Exhortation on the joy of love in the family, “Amoris Laetitia.”

Speaking before a group of Ursuline Sisters on April 19, 2016, in the Saint Ursula Community Room, Bishop Thompson urged the sisters to follow the pope’s plea to understand what is going on in the lives of people they meet before drawing any conclusions.

Bishop Thompson was raised in Marion County, Ky., where he was taught by the Ursuline Sisters of Mount Saint Joseph. Here is a video of his talk, along with some pictures.
