The moments at the end of the day are the most peaceful of the day just before I drift off to sleep. I allow the day to play back to me in memory, relishing its good moments and reliving the feelings and thoughts that come to me. It is not a deliberate attempt to pray, but it usually becomes a prayer of gratitude for God’s goodness. Julian of Norwich says: “The fullness of joy is to behold God in everything.” Perhaps some day I might be attentive enough to behold God in the moment and not have to wait until those moments of hindsight. Right now I am grateful for the God moments whenever they come!
