Ask me a question!

In my ministry of promoting our Ursuline Way of Life, I encounter many people with questions about what we do, why we do what we do, and how do I learn more about being a sister.   It occurred to me that there may be others who would like to raise questions anonymously.  So, every Wednesday I will entertain your questions, so please send them my way.   Remember what one of my college professors told me once that has stayed with me, “there are no stupid questions.”   I will start  Ask me a Question  with one that is raised very frequently.

Question:   HOW DO I LEARN ABOUT BEING A SISTER?

Response:  I believe the best resource is one who is living the life, so contact a Sister you may know or have heard about and ask her if she would be willing to meet with you and talk about her life.  If you do not know a sister, contact me and I will be happy to share my story.  You will discover that sisters really enjoy sharing their joys and challenges in living community life, living daily their YES to God’s call.  Their unique stories of how they live out their vows of poverty, chastity and obedience, it most informative and usually pretty humorous.  Sisters also enjoy talking about their ministry, where they pour a lot of their time and energy, and what they look forward to do for fun!  You might be very surprised, but I know you will also be impressed.  Being a sister is a very meaningful way to live your life!  I have been a sister for many years and truly there is never a dull moment!

Now, what is your question?
