Sister Dolorita Robinson, OSU

Sister Dolorita Robinson, 88, an Ursuline Sister of Mount Saint Joseph, died March 23 at Mount Saint Joseph, in her 69th year of religious life. She was a native of St. Mary, Ky.

Sister Dolorita was known for her hard work, her deep spirituality, and her desire to help whoever was in need. An educator for 39 years, she taught at St. Paul School, Leitchfield (1944-52), St. Michael School, Fairfield (1952-58), St. Joseph High School, Central City (1958-64), St. Brigid School, Vine Grove (1964-67), Mary Carrico School, Knottsville (1967-73), and St. Augustine School, Lebanon, (1983-84). From 1974-76, she was principal of St. Leonard School, Louisville, and from 1976-83, she returned to St. Paul, Leitchfield, as principal and teacher. She served in pastoral ministry at St. John the Evangelist Parish in Sunfish, 1990-98.

At Mount Saint Joseph, she served as local superior (1973-74) and ministered in crafts (1984-86), as director of activities (1986-90), and on the archives staff (1998-2005).

Survivors include her sister, Florine White of Lebanon; nieces and nephews, and the members of her religious community.
