Sister Michael Ann Monaghan shares her “Gift of Christmas” memory from her days as an elementary school teacher. The photo is from the 2001 Christmas program at St. Francis Assisi School in Gallup, New Mexico, when Sister Michael Ann taught there.
“My best memory of Christmas ministry was the time spent planning the annual Christmas program and teaching the students the real meaning of Christmas. Hopefully, the students, in turn by their enthusiastic performance, would pass the meaning on to others.”

I am so happy to have found this information about Sr Michael Ann. She was my first grade teacher at Immaculate so many years ago (more than 60). Even after all these years, she holds a very special place in my heart and memory. Thank you for instilling a love of learning and a lifelong appreciation for education.
