The Mount Saint Joseph Auditorium is available for renting. It was built to serve Mount Saint Joseph Academy as a place to hold plays and recitals, and for athletic activities. Both the stage and the basketball court remain.
The Auditorium is an open space with a kitchen equipped for catering. It’s perfect for hosting wedding receptions, Christmas parties, birthday parties, class reunions, etc. Its capacity is 200 people.
Reservations: Rentals are handled through the Mount Saint Joseph Finance Office. They can be reached at [email protected] or by contacting the switchboard at 270-229-4103. Please let the operator know that you would like to speak to the Finance Office concerning rental information. Normal business hours are Monday through Friday 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Rental options: There are two types of rental options, a partial rental for use up to four hours and a full rental which allows the use for a full day. Regardless of the rental type, the building must be vacated by midnight.
Partial rental: $100
Full rental: $200
Half of the rental and the security deposit must be paid to secure the reservation. The other half is due two weeks prior to the event.
Security Deposit: A refundable security deposit of $200 must be submitted to secure the rental and will be refunded if there is no damage and the facility is cleaned.
Cancellation: Cancellations received 60 days or more prior to the event will receive a full refund. Cancellations received 30 days to 59 days prior to the event will receive a refund of the rental deposit but forfeit the security deposit. Cancellations received within 30 days of the event will forfeit both the rental deposit and security deposit.
Setup: Use of Mount Saint Joseph’s 8-foot tables and chairs is included in the rental fee. User is responsible for setup. Mount Saint Joseph will set up your tables and chairs for an additional fee of $200. If you would like this service, please request it at the time of rental and provide the requested layout with the final payment two weeks prior to the event.
Cleaning: The renter is responsible for cleaning the facility and returning it to the order in which it was received. Access to brooms, dust pans, mops, etc., will be available. A checklist is attached so that you will know the expectations. Mount Saint Joseph will clean after your event for an additional fee of $200. Kitchen/Food: Access to the kitchenette is included in the rental fee. Any equipment in the kitchenette at the time of the event is available for use. Renter is responsible for arranging for their own catering needs.
Decorations: For full rentals, we will allow access to the facility on the day prior for decorating and event preparation, if requested in advance. Tape should not be used to adhere any decorations to the walls. There should be no open flames. All decorations must be removed by midnight unless prior arrangements have been made.
Heat/AC: We wish for you and your guests to be comfortable. You may adjust the temperature appropriately for the season. However, when the heat/air are running do not leave doors standing open. Ensure that the temperature is returned to an agreed upon setting prior to vacating the building.
Parking: Parking is permitted in the lots surrounding the auditorium and the park area. Parking east of the chapel or behind the chapel is reserved for the Ursuline Sisters and employees.
Restricted Access: We welcome you to our campus. Please respect that this is our home and refrain from roaming to other areas or buildings without prior consent.
Smoking: This is a smoke-free facility. Smoking is permitted outside in the designated area on the east side of building. There is a smoking receptacle for your use.
Alcohol: Use of alcohol will be permitted when provided by the lessee. “BYOB” will not be allowed. You must comply with all local, state and federal laws regarding the distribution and use of alcohol. You must use a licensed bartender and provide proof of alcohol liability insurance.
Insurance: You are required to show proof of liability insurance plus alcohol liability, if applicable.
Lock-up/Security: At the conclusion of the event, all trash must be removed, lights turned off, temperature restored, doors locked and key returned to the lockbox.
Inappropriate Behavior: Mount Saint Joseph reserves the right to refuse use or rental to any group/function/organization whose conduct or use of the building is deemed inappropriate.
