First snow of the year blankets Maple Mount in white

The first snowfall of 2024 and frigid temperatures slowed things down at Maple Mount on Jan. 15-16. Sunshine and warmer temperatures should make the white scenery temporary, so here are some pictures.

    Absolutely beautiful. I live in Lawrence, Kansas and we have also had a large snowfall…I remember walking around “The U” At the convent/academy in Paola, Kansas in the snow when I was a student there. Nice, peaceful memories.
