Below are the two quilts that will be given away in raffles at the 42nd annual Mount Saint Joseph BBQ Picnic, taking place on Sunday, Sept. 9, 2012 in Maple Mount, Ky.
The “Tree of Life” quilt will be raffled off in a separate drawing at the 2012 Mount Saint Joseph Picnic. It was embroidered by Sister Mary Celine Weidenbenner and was one of the last quilts quilted by Sister Jean Madeline Peake, whose health no longer allows her to quilt. These raffle tickets will be sold for $2 each at the picnic, and the drawing will take place at 3 p.m.
The “Roses in the Window” quilt is one of seven prizes in our GRAND Raffle drawing. It was embroidered by Sister Mary Celine Weidenbenner and quilted by Sister Catherine Kaufman. The drawing will take place at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 9. The $2 grand raffle tickets are still available. You do not have to be present to win.
