Teatime at the Mount

The inaugural “Teatime at the Mount” brought several people to the Mount Saint Joseph Conference and Retreat Center for the first time on Aug. 13, 2019. The lunchtime event celebrated cancer survivors and those whose loved ones have been affected by cancer. Pam Simon, a longtime local educator, led a brief program after scones and finger sandwiches were served with tea. Here are some photos from the day.

Pam Simon, who shared her knowledge of tea with the participants, said all good things end with “tea” – including “opportuni-tea” and “hospitali-tea.”
There were some men who enjoyed Teatime along with the women in their families.
Hats weren’t required, but these women wouldn’t think of enjoying their tea without the proper head wear.

Pam Simon, right, gives a bit of history about tea and why it makes people feel better. Simon was an educator for 42 years in Owensboro and worked with Pampered Chef for 25 years.
