Summer Retreat for Sisters 2019

The Summer Retreat for Women Religious brought Ursuline Sisters of Mount Saint Joseph and women religious from other communities to the Mount Saint Joseph Conference and Retreat Center the week of July 14-19, 2019.
Sister Lynn Jarrell, a canon lawyer and the former president of the Ursuline Sisters of Louisville (2008-2014) led the retreat, titled “Living the Consecrated Life.” It focused on the four vows that Ursuline Sisters make – poverty, chastity, obedience and instruction. Since 1984, Sister Lynn has worked with the leadership of religious institutes and their national organizations in the United States, Canada and Africa.

The retreat brought together sisters serving on missions and some of those serving at the Motherhouse. The sisters gathered in the Saint Angela room of the Retreat Center for morning and afternoon sessions all week. They had Mass each day at 11 a.m.
