Sisters and Associates hold a prayer service in Paola cemetery

Ursuline Sisters and Associates visited the former Motherhouse of the Ursuline Sisters of Paola, Kan., on June 4, 2022, to have a prayer service in the cemetery. The former convent is now home to Arista Recovery, a substance abuse treatment facility. The Sisters and Associates received a tour of the facility before heading to the cemetery, where most of the Ursuline Sisters of Paola are buried. The Ursulines of Paola merged with Mount Saint Joseph in 2008.

    It was a great tour! the staff of Arista are very dedicated to their mission, and so reverent RE the tradition of the place–they are determined to honor it. And the potluck was good too! We had three kinds of baked beans, wonderful hot dogs and all the fixin’s
