Sister Ruth discusses “Language: Gift and Mystery” during “An Evening with an Ursuline” presentation

Ursuline Sister Ruth Gehres spoke about “Language: Gift and Mystery” on Feb. 7, 2017, at the monthly “Evening with an Ursuline” dinner and presentation at the Mount Saint Joseph Conference and Retreat Center. Prior to the talk, the group enjoyed a meal together (this time it was fried chicken, mashed potatoes, vegetables and a cherry dessert) in the Center dining room.

Sister Ruth is a former English professor at Brescia College (now Brescia University) and was president of Brescia from 1985-1995. She also taught English in Straubing, Germany. Her other ministries include communications for the Sisters of St. Benedict in Ferdinand, Ind., as well as for her Ursuline community. She ministered from 2007-2013 at Casa Ursulina in Chile and is now doing communications for them while residing at the Motherhouse.

The next “Evening with an Ursuline” will be on March 7, when Sister Vivian Bowles will present “Belief and Expectation.” Here are some photos from the Feb. 7 Evening.
