Eternal Word, only begotten Son of God,
Teach me true generosity.
Teach me to serve you as you deserve.
To give without counting the cost,
To fight heedless of wounds,

This prayer for a generous spirit speaks very powerful to me presently. To approach life, relationship, ministry, specifcally vocation ministry, in the spirit of this prayer calls me to let go and allow myself to be used as God’s instrument. My attitude and disposition determine how generous I can act. Today I ask through the intercessiion of Saint Ignatius for a generous spirit. I ask that I may approach every situation this day seeking only to carry out your will and plan for me.
