Several children of the Mount Saint Joseph staff celebrated Halloween with the Ursuline Sisters in the Saint Joseph Villa on Wednesday, October 28. The children first received a snack and completed a craft activity before “trick or treating” with the sisters. Elizabeth Allen, daughter of Jean Allen, also recited for the sisters the Pledge of Allegiance with definitions that she had been given in school that day.
Several Ursuline Sisters and MSJ staff gathered to hear Jean Allen announce the winners of the staff pumpkin carving contest the following day, Thursday, October 29. The following were the winners:
1st place: “Camper and Car” by Sierra Morris and Savannah Stinnett
2nd Place: “Face” by Elaine Foster
3rd Place: “Pumpkin Eats an Apple” by Bailey Roberts
