Ursuline Sisters lead workshop on "The Spirituality of Fasting"

Ursuline Sisters Marietta Wethington and Suzanne Sims led a workshop called, “The Spirituality of Fasting” on May 2 in the Fr. Tucker Center at Sts. Joseph and Paul Catholic Church in Owensboro. The workshop focused on undertaking fasting as a prayerful act, and included fasting from food and other acts or distractions that keep people from experiencing peace
The workshop was the kickoff of the Pax Christi USA “10 Days in May Peace Campaign” at Sts. Joseph and Paul, commemorating the 25th anniversary of the U.S. bishops document, “The Challenge of Peace: God’s Promise and Our Response,” which forever enshrined “peacemaking” as an imperative of the Catholic faith.
