Teen leaders return to the Retreat Center

The 24th annual Green River Teen Leadership Conference returned to the Mount Saint Joseph Conference and Retreat Center on Nov. 5-6, 2015, with 78 students coming from nine high schools in the Green River area.

The purpose of the conference is to engage sophomores and juniors in developing substance abuse prevention programs in their schools and communities, said Gary Hall, a member of the staff. The students, who are recommended by their drug-free clubs, all sported purple T-shirts with the message, “Serve with pride. Lead with confidence. Inspire to impact lives” on the back.

The conference has been held at the Retreat Center since 1994, Hall said. Here are some photos from a group meeting on Nov. 6.
