Alas, my dear cousin is gone…I spent so many years away w/husband in the Army that I didn’t get to see her often. I still send her a card at least once a month even now…when younger the family would visit her in some of the places she taught. Always joyful and happy, loved her quilts and made friends easily…will so miss that shining smile but she’ll be with the Lord.

It’s hard to imagine the world without Sister Jean Madeline. I loved having her as my principle at St. Bartholomew. She was so caring and loving and was always smiling. Her little giggle made me giggle. Hopefully she is smiling down on all of us. May God keep her wrapped in his arms.

My years at St. Bartholomew School teaching under Sister Jean Madeline were some of the happiest of my career. She was always encouraging and affirming to both her teachers and her students. We truly loved her!

Just three days after her passing, one of her St. Bartholomew teachers joined her in heaven. What a comfort to know that Sister was there to welcome her!

Godspeed, Sister Jean Madeline. We will miss you…
