New Leadership Council installed among “courage and high hope”

The Leadership Council that will serve the Ursuline Sisters of Mount Saint Joseph from 2016-2022 was installed July 17 during Mass in the Motherhouse Chapel at Maple Mount, Ky.

Sister Amelia Stenger was installed as congregational leader, with Sister Kathleen Condry to serve as assistant congregational leader. Council members are Sister Pam Mueller, Sister Judith Nell Riney and Sister Pat Lynch.

During her reflection, Sister Amelia urged the Ursuline Sisters to recommit themselves to the promises they made to God and for the Ursuline community.

“We are a community dependent and interdependent on each other,” Sister Amelia said. “When one of us is called to feed the hungry, teach a second grader or interpret for a pregnant Hispanic mother, we are all there with that sister. We are together in a special way.”
