Mount Saint Joseph Alumnae Reunion Weekend

Anyone who attended Mount Saint Joseph Academy or Junior College is invited back for "Alumnae Weekend" on May 19-20 at Maple Mount. This year marks the commemoration of the centennial of the Ursuline Sisters of Mount Saint Joseph.

On May 5, 2012, about 180 people gathered at Bishop Miege High School in Shawnee Mission, Kan., to celebrate the Kentucky Derby and help support the Ursuline Sisters of Mount Saint Joseph.  Read more

Owensboro Catholic Students enjoy day of prayer at the Mount

Sixth-grade students from the Owensboro Catholic Elementary 4-6 Campus in Owensboro visited Mount Saint Joseph for a “Day of Prayer” on May 8, 2012.

 

We, the Ursuline Sisters of Mount Saint Joseph, sustained by prayer and vowed life in community, proclaim Jesus through education and Christian formation in the spirit of our founder, Saint Angela Merici.

An Eight-Day Centering Prayer Retreat June 17-23, 2012 <b>Retreat Facilitators:</b> Sister Mary Otho Ballard, OP Sister Ann McGrew, OSU The focus of this retreat is on Centering Prayer within a community setting. The model developed by Thomas Keating as well as the psychological experience of the Centering Prayer method are used. The purpose is to assist the participants in entering into a more intimate relationship with God and self. This is facilitated through cultivating a deep level of interior peace and silence in a nurturing, supportive environment that combines both solitude and community. <b>Choose one:</b> Intensive Retreat: An in-depth retreat for those with experience in Centering Prayer and interested in entering into the more profound levels of spiritual practice in an atmosphere of silence, solitude, and community. Post-Intensive Retreat: Provides an opportunity for intensive Centering Prayer and Lectio Divina in an atmosphere of solitude, silence, and community. Prior Intensive Retreat experience is necessary.
